What role will you play?

You will play a key role in identifying, developing, and implementing sourcing strategies that support Macquarie’s business objectives. Working within a global team, you will contribute to delivering value across various categories predominantly focused on end-to-end sourcing projects within the Technology (Software, SaaS) and Professional Services categories.
In collaboration with senior stakeholders in Sydney and across the globe, you will solve complex business problems, mitigate risk, and drive our commercial agenda forward, leveraging your strong communication skills and effective stakeholder engagement to drive efficiencies and deliver sustainable outcomes. You will work closely with internal partners to understand business requirements, navigate category‑specific challenges, and provide strategic guidance aligned with organisational priorities.
In addition, you will be responsible for analysing category data and market trends to identify improvement opportunities and shape tailored sourcing strategies. Through your insights and recommendations, you will help optimise supplier performance, enhance value delivery, and support continuous improvement across the portfolio.

What you offer

  • 3 years of experience managing end‑to‑end sourcing processes, including procurement, competitive bidding, contract negotiation, and contract lifecycle management
  • Strong strategic mindset and commercial acumen, with the ability to analyse market dynamics, assess business needs, and craft sourcing strategies that deliver measurable value
  • Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships, partnering with cross‑functional teams to align objectives and drive successful outcomes
  • Skilled in translating complex requirements into clear sourcing plans, balancing operational priorities with broader organisational goals
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and vendor‑management skills, enabling impactful collaboration and sustainable supplier partnerships.
