At Macquarie, our advantage is bringing together diverse people and empowering them to shape all kinds of possibilities. You will play a key operational role in implementing and supporting the data governance program for Commodities and Global Markets. Embedded within the group's Data Office, you will ensure governance metadata is accurately captured, maintained and aligned across strategic data management platforms, including supporting the delivery of high‑quality metadata, traceability and governance artefacts that strengthen data transparency and consistency across the business.
In addition, you will maintain data catalogues and governance records in tools such as Alation and Collibra, documenting key data elements, lineage, controls, ownership and business definitions. Working closely with data owners, subject matter experts, and Data Management Analysts, you will help trace end‑to‑end data flows, enrich business glossaries and data dictionaries, and track the completeness and quality of governance datasets. Strong communication skills and resilience are essential, as you will also support the standardisation of governance practices and promote the value of data governance across the business.
