Join our Commodities and Global Markets Client Fulfilment team as a detail-oriented and analytical Data Operations Analyst, responsible for ensuring client data across the group globally is accurate, complete, timely and fit for purpose for regulatory, risk, client-facing and internal business use.
While Macquarie offers hybrid working for many of our roles, this role does require 3 days a week in our office location.

What role will you play?

You will play a critical role in supporting the integrity, quality and effective use of client data across Commodities and Global Markets. Working closely with stakeholders across front office, operations, risk, technology and compliance, you will help ensure client data is accurately maintained and aligned to business and regulatory requirements.
You will take ownership of data-related requests and issues end to end, applying a strong customer service mindset to ensure outcomes are delivered and stakeholders are kept informed. You will be comfortable operating in a dynamic environment, adapting to new scenarios, seeking guidance when required, and taking appropriate action. You will also be curious and proactive, identifying opportunities to improve controls, processes and data quality, and contributing to the ongoing uplift of the team’s capability.

What you offer

  • 2–5 years’ experience within a finance, data, client data or accounting-related role, with experience identifying breaks, anomalies or data issues impacting reporting or downstream use
  • Tertiary qualifications, preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline, with a strong understanding of financial services or financial markets products
  • High attention to detail, curiosity and integrity, with the ability to self-educate and proactively build knowledge
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly advanced Excel (experience with Alteryx and/or SQL is an advantage)
  • Ability to communicate complex or technical data concepts clearly to both peers and senior stakeholders.
