The Macquarie Capital Information Management team supports and enables the global business by establishing the frameworks, policies and controls that underpin effective records management, data protection and information lifecycle practices. What role will you play?

As an Information Governance Manager, you will support the ongoing uplift of Macquarie Capital’s information governance and data protection capabilities, ensuring our information assets are managed in line with internal policy, regulatory obligations, and business needs. Working within the Information Management team and partnering with Technology, Risk, Legal, and business stakeholders, you will coordinate and deliver key governance initiatives and remediation programs. You will play a key role in operating and maturing our Data Loss Prevention (DLP) environment, enabling secure and compliant handling of information, and contributing to automations that improve efficiency, reduce risk, and support scalable growth across the Macquarie Capital business.
This is a technically focused role where you will will be hands on, problem solving, building automation, and working at the intersection of security, data governance, and business operations, with accountability for delivering outcomes and continuous improvement.

  • Demonstrated experience in information governance, information management, data governance, or data protection within a regulated environment (e.g financial services)
  • Strong analytical capability and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate risk and control requirements into practical business outcomes
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage credibly with stakeholders across business, risk, legal, and technology
  • Strong attention to detail and sound judgement when working with sensitive, confidential, and regulated information
  • A proactive, accountable mindset with experience delivering initiatives end-to-end, managing dependencies, and driving adoption and change
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g., SharePoint, Purview, eDiscovery/retention), identity and access management concepts, and/or platforms such as Active Directory and Salesforce is valuable
  • Experience delivering process improvement and automation outcomes, including familiarity with scripting or low-code tooling (PowerShell, Python, Power Platform) where relevant.
