​​Macquarie’s Central Information Protection team is a business critical team withing Corporate Operations Group Data and AI. The team supports our diverse groups to manage risks associated with information security and privacy. The team is accountable for the enterprise-wide framework and for the provision of advice and tooling to enable efficient and scalable information security practices.

What role will you play?

In your role as an Information Protection Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Information Protection team to enable high‑quality governance across the enterprise, and for developing standards, guidelines, and controls that align with internal policies and frameworks, as well as jurisdictional regulatory requirements.

  • Sound knowledge, understanding, and experience in information security, governance, and information management frameworks, including prior experience in building, maintaining, editing, or managing records against a business classification scheme
  • A strong team player who is proactive and a capable problem‑solver
  • Exposure to, and strong knowledge of, technology platforms and solutions underpinning information security governance
  • Experience and/or knowledge of automation capabilities for information discovery and classification
  • Experience working in a complex business environment, managing stakeholders, preferably within the financial services industry
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 suite, with strong skills in PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Excel
  • Tertiary qualifications in information management are desirable.
