Use your deep expertise in operational risk management to provide risk leadership across Macquarie Capital’s global Equities business. Based in New York, you will partner closely with senior stakeholders across the Americas, Europe and globally, helping to strengthen risk culture while supporting commercial outcomes. What role will you play?

In this role, you will provide operational risk and thought leadership for Macquarie Capital, reporting directly to the Global Operational Risk Lead for Equities. You will work side-by-side with front office and front-to-back support functions, including Compliance, Finance, Operations, Technology, Second Line Risk and Internal Audit, to embed strong risk management practices. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the execution and monitoring of operational risk frameworks, assessing new products and activities, and driving continuous improvements to governance and controls. You will also lead deep-dive reviews, facilitate risk and control self-assessments, and deliver high-quality risk reporting across both business and legal entity structures.
This role is based in New York with in-office attendance expected in line with business and stakeholder needs.
Salary range for this position: $165,000 - $245,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.   • Extensive operational risk expertise, with 10+ years’ experience in a trading environment and significant exposure to Equities markets
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead deep-dive reviews, risk assessments for new products and activities, and manage complex issues to closure
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, enabling you to build trusted relationships, confidently challenge senior Front Office stakeholders, and mediate where required
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality outcomes and projects under pressure
  • A pragmatic, commercially minded approach that balances effective risk control with business objectives
