Join our innovative and entrepreneurial Real Estate investment team, based in Sydney. As part of Macquarie Asset Management’s Asia Pacific real estate group, you will work closely with the team focused on regional investment opportunities for the Macquarie Real Estate Partners fund series.

What role will you play?

As an integral member of the team with exposure across the full life cycle of investments in Australia and Zealand, you will primarily work on asset management of portfolio companies and underlying real estate investments, including engaging with portfolio company senior management and external advisors to help drive and deliver strategic asset priorities. Key asset management activities include pursuing follow-on investments, refinancings and divestments. Working with both internal teams and external partners you will also be responsible for leading quarterly reporting across investments in portfolio companies and real estate assets, half-yearly asset performance review, refinancings and liquidity evaluation.
Your role will also require you to actively contribute to the sourcing, evaluation and execution of new investment opportunities, as well as assist in screening, assessing and negotiating transactions, conducting market analysis to identify new opportunities, performing financial analysis and developing models that inform investment decisions, preparing investment papers for investment committee approval, supporting both investment and asset management decisions in line with our opportunistic fund strategies.

What you offer

  • 2-4 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, real estate investment management and/or advisory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong technical and numerical skills, particularly in financial modelling and valuation analysis
  • Proactive, resilient and driven with a commercial mindset and strong desire to learn and grow
  • Collaborative team player with a flexible approach and eagerness to contribute to key regional initiatives.
