Join our Credit Risk team based in either Sydney or Melbourne with responsibility for transactions supporting our Business Banking Division.

What role will you play?

As a Credit Risk Senior Analyst or Manager, you will work collaboratively with stakeholders to structure and approve Business Banking transactions, with a view to obtaining a credit discretion. You will work as part of a team that analyses new and existing loans for commercial banking clients, working with business stakeholders to deliver prudent but commercial outcomes in an efficient manner. In addition, this role will also provide opportunity to be involved in larger corporate (cashflow and property-backed) transactions as well as strategic initiatives to enhance our credit risk framework, such as transforming credit policies, dealing with regulatory change and monitoring portfolio quality and emerging risks.

  • Prior experience in credit risk management in business lending (cash flow and/or property-backed lending), preferably with experience lending to corporate or institutional counterparties
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and critically analyse transactions in the context of business strategy, risk appetite, sector research and macroeconomic developments
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to navigate challenging conversations to deliver prudent but commercial outcomes
  • Resilience, and strong work ethic in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
