Sitting side by side with asset teams, the Transformation & Operations mandate is to drive value creation across Macquarie Asset Management's portfolio companies to maximise fund returns. This function within Transformation & Operations focuses on AI, automation and other digital enabled value creation levers. To do so, you will work closely with management to identify, design, and execute digital and AI initiatives that increase the profitability and overall value of Macquarie Asset Management's portfolio companies; while supporting our asset teams in associated decision-making throughout the life cycle of the assets.
This role will act as the primary Transformation & Operations digital and AI partner for Australian portfolio companies, diagnosing where
technology creates the most value, designing the right interventions, and owning execution end-to-end including building solutions directly where required. You will also work closely with specialist Portfolio Performance Group colleagues, ensuring the right expertise (Organization & Leadership, Safety/WHS, Cyber and IT) is engaged at the right moment to maximize outcomes.

What you offer

  • 8 + years experience in a relevant/equivalent AI & Transformation role, within the Asset Management or Private Equity industry
  • Ability to build scalable AI capabilities and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, acting as a trusted advisor across technical and commercial teams
  • Experience supporting investment decisions through due diligence, identifying value creation opportunities and operational risks related to digital and AI
  • Proven capability to lead end-to-end implementation, including process redesign, solution build, integration, vendor management, and driving adoption
  • Experience translating business problems into practical AI and digital solutions, setting up delivery frameworks, and focusing on outcomes over technical complexity
  • Strong ability to assess business models, operations, and strategy to identify and prioritise high-value digital and AI opportunities with clear business cases.
