Join our high performing Strategic Equity Transaction team in this exciting opportunity as an off-cycle intern in our Tokyo office. Working alongside senior originators and country coverage bankers, you will assist in the execution of deals across a range of sectors for structured equity transactions as well as traditional ECM transactions.

What role will you play?

You’ll be involved in preparing financial analysis and drafting presentations and pitch books for senior bankers to use in client and marketing meetings. You will also coordinate with internal and external parties on the team’s deal executions for complex structured transactions.
As part of a highly collaborative team, you will have the opportunity to take real responsibility from an early stage. You will be encouraged to take initiative and, with the support of the team, be given the opportunity to grow and develop throughout the course of the internship.

  • Currently in final year or expected to graduate within 12 months
  • First class academics with strong extra-curricular activities
  • Strong numeric and analytical skills with an eye for detail
  • Excellent communications skills to liaise with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels with ease
  • Strong bilingual capability with proficiency in both Japanese and English
  • Available for a duration of at least 2 weeks between December2026 and February2027 with the potential to extend further
