Position Summary
The Outsourced Chief Investment Office (OCIO) is responsible for delivering customized investment management services to institutional and ultra-high net worth clients. The OCIO Business Development team works directly with our portfolio managers and Financial Advisors/Consultants to drive assets under management (AUM) growth. The Strategic RFP writer will play a critical role in the quality of our RFP responses. The proposal writer will develop strong working relationships with Financial Advisors, Consultants, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support our business goals to win, expand and retain business.
Responsibilities Include
- · Lead kick-off meetings, strategy sessions and proposal project planning
- · Craft Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposals (RFP) to drive AUM growth
- · Write RFP response documents and attachments including RFP cover letters and executive summaries
- · Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to articulate our value proposition
- · Improve and maintain content in our RFP library
- · Review and customize RFP responses from the content library
- · Ensure responses follow brand style and tone guidelines
- · Support all aspects of institutional sales for our OCIO Nonprofit business
- · Ensure OCIO pipeline is well maintained and up to date
Qualifications
- · Strong writing and editing background, with experience in the RFP/RFI, grant writing, technical writing, or similar space
- · Ability to lead business development opportunities end-to-end and manage multiple senior stakeholders
- · Result-oriented and passionate about contributing to the firm’s growth with a desire to succeed
- · Highly organized and detail-oriented
- · Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- · Proficiency in RFP response software (e.g. Loopio) is a plus
- · Bachelor’s degree required
- · 5-10 years of experience
- · FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63/65) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 120 days of hire
Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $180,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
