Morgan Stanley is seeking a finance professional to work in the ISG Finance Organization as a Product Controller within Fixed Income.

Department Profile
The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firm wide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.
Primary Responsibilities
The Fixed Income Product Control team within Finance supports the various businesses such as Commodities, Lending, Rates and Credit at Morgan Stanley. The team works with the trading desk and other support areas (Credit, Operations, IT & Legal) to analyze, consult and report on new and existing businesses. This requires an analytical approach to understanding the risks associated with controlling and accounting for the business.
Responsibilities include:
- You will produce, analyze and report the Profit and Loss (P&L) for various businesses within Fixed Income.
- You will work closely with Sales & Trading, Risk Management, Technology, Operations and other Controllers on a day-to-day basis to ensure accurate P&L reporting and analysis.
- You will distribute P&L reporting to traders and business management on daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- You will complete monthly Net Revenue and Balance Sheet reconciliation identifying the differences between our General Ledger and the P&L reporting systems.
- You will manage Ad-hoc analysis and reporting as needed for the Business Unit and Finance Management. Qualifications - External
Skills Required
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or related field.
- You have a familiarity with Financial products
- You have the ability to communicate effectively across all levels.
- You have outstanding attention to detail and follow up.
- You have excellent organizational skills.
- You have the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- You have strong analytical and technical skills including Excel and PowerPoint.
