Designing and implementing new components and functionality for securities and elemental reference data systems. Implementing bug fixes and code improvements. Extending test automation and tooling for improved insight. Performing code and test result reviews for other team members work. Meeting with stakeholders and external data providers to gather and analyze new requirements. Providing advanced support for users. Advancing Technical Fitness and Modernization objectives, e.g., move SDLC processes to GitHub Enterprise, decommission legacy code.
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $180000 and $180000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field plus five (5) year of experience in the position offered or five (5) year of experience as an Analyst or a related occupation. Requires five (5) years of experience with: Python; Java; Agile Software Development; and Test-driven (TDD) / behavior-driven (BDD) development. Requires four (4) years of experience with: Sybase; DB2; Linux; Snowflake; Cloud solution providers including: Azure; Angular; and Kafka. Requires any amount of experience with: C++; Scala; and Cloud solution providers including: AWS.
