Department Profile
The Private Banking Group (PBG) provides banking and lending services to its clients as part of Morgan Stanley's comprehensive Wealth Management offering. The Private Banking Group includes a nationwide network of private bankers who partner with Morgan Stanley financial advisors to provide banking and lending services including mortgages, securities-based loans and tailored lending.

The Finance Division reports to the Chief Financial Officer and consists of some 3,000 employees worldwide. Finance protects the Morgan Stanley franchise by serving as guardian of the Firm's books and records, and by contributing to firmwide risk management and risk reduction. This division maintains relationships with Morgan Stanley's various industry and government regulators, and also serves as the conduit of financial information to the outside investment community. Finance plays a critical role as advisor to Morgan Stanley's various businesses and its senior management team.

Primary Responsibilities
- Assist in the analysis and gathering of key metrics for Deposits and Investment Portfolio
- Aid in the preparation of monthly & quarterly financial reporting for business reviews
- Assist in the quarterly Firm CCARS, full year forecasts and budget projections
- Conduct various functions related to the monthly financial close
- Cross-functional role working with Product CFO's, BU, Treasury, LE Controllers, Accounting, etc.
- Ad Hoc requests from senior management Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- A great aptitude for numbers and a quick grasp of new reporting applications
- Must be able to work with large data sets, and be extremely proficient with both Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Must be comfortable producing decks for senior management
- A desire to work in a team-based environment and contribute as a team player
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Self-motivated with high personal standards for quality of work
- Strong oral and written communication skills

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $70,000 and $95,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
