Services Tech is a dynamic and fast-paced area within the Firm's WM Technology Division. We are responsible for creating innovative technology solutions for the Digital Business Automation(DBA), one of the strategic growth areas of the Firm, providing document management, workflow and services to our WM client. This includes state-of-the-art technology for a nationwide network of Private Bankers and product specialists who work with Financial Advisors to provide access to products and services such as online banking, cards, deposit products, residential mortgages, securities-based loans, and tailored lending. Morgan Stanley Services Tech team is looking for a Java Developer to join a technologically advanced team focusing on developing and enhancing platforms. Candidate must have significant expertise in design and development of core Java applications as well as multi-tiered Java EE-style applications. To be successful, the role will require the individual to understand the banking technology landscape, and to offer creative solutions that integrate current capabilities and proprietary system builds.
What you'll do in the role:
Digitizing document which can support structured and unstructured documents.
Collaboratively Work with Chapter lead, product owners, scrum masters and testing team to deliver business requirements.
Participate in scrum meeting, chapter meeting and fleet meeting
Create highly optimized, scalable, redundant, and distributed software Deliver manageable, modular code, along with automated tests
Work with geographically dispersed teams (NYC, Alpharetta, Mumbai, and Bangalore).
Perform code reviews on server-side code
Help release and maintain code as well as address production issues
Implementing DevOps tools and practice
Writing unit tests using Junit and Mockito
What you'll bring to the role:
Minimum BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
7 to 10 years of experience in Software development
2 to 3 years hand on experience in AI/ML
3+ years of experience in Python/Java.
Experience in OCR technologies
Experience in Digitizing the document.
Must have experience in Agile and DevOps practices
Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills.
Demonstrates exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Development experience building high volume systems
Experience in working on large and medium scale projects in agile environment
Experience with task management tools such as JIRA.
Competency with source control (preferably Git) and Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins or Teamcity.
Good understanding on cloud
Desired skills:
Experience in Java
