Team Profile
Corporate Treasury provides corporate finance advisory service to senior management and internal business units. It also optimizes the Firm's liquidity and capital base, manages the Firm's foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, and coordinates relationships with regulators, rating agencies, and creditors.
As a member of Corporate Treasury, you will be supporting Treasury activities across the EMEA region. The role is based in London however will involve working closely with teams across Europe and in New York. In particular, you will have regular and direct interactions with the Global Treasury team, Risk, Operations, other Finance Groups, IT and the business units.
What will you be doing?
- Manage liquidity, funding, and risk hedging requirements in EMEA as part of the Global Treasury team, including FX cash funding and hedging, management of liquidity reserve investments across cash and securities, and UK Client Money placement.
- Engage directly with Institutional Securities Group business units on funding/liquidity impacts of trading activities and ensure resource availability and appropriate pricing.
- Own the funding and liquidity management desk's P&L and risk control environment.
- Develop analysis and reporting on underlying drivers of intraday funding and liquidity movements on a T0 basis.
- Support/execute ad hoc requests/inquiries from senior management and aid in decision making process.
- Support EMEA regulatory requests including data analysis, liaising with other groups and presentation of findings.
- Develop and manage a small team of direct and indirect reports.
- Build effective working relationships with other key stakeholders within. Corporate Treasury as well as Firm Risk Management, Bank Resource Management, Finance, Operations and Technology.
What we’re looking for:
- A good understanding of investment banks, financial markets, and the role of Corporate Treasury.
- Experience executing FX trades and management of a significant FX swap portfolio.
- Experience managing money market investments and reconciling settlements of cash and securities positions.
- Excellent quantitative and qualitative analysis skills; ability to understand and interpret complex transactions and data.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interaction with teams across local and global offices.
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, demanding, and high energy environment.
- Self-motivation and an eye for detail.
- The ability to develop junior talent.
- Diversity of thought and background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Bloomberg Anywhere, and Front Office trade booking systems.
- Degree qualification or equivalent.
