Firm Risk Management (FRM) enables Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

Background on the Position
This position is located within the Credit Risk Management department on the Commodities / Corporate coverage team in New York, which is responsible for the credit assessment and risk management of the Firm's corporate derivatives and trading portfolio. The position will focus on a diversified set of counterparties across all industries including, but not limited to, industrials, technology, media, and telecommunications, energy, healthcare, and consumer staples.

Primary Responsibilities
- Counterparty credit analysis / portfolio management - preparation of in-depth credit reviews for new / existing clients, annual and quarterly write-ups, setting credit ratings, credit limits, managing excesses, compiling and presenting recommendations.
- Assist senior members of the team during due diligence process for new transactions and client onboarding.
- Review new trade requests from business / origination teams and understand credit exposure impact, tenor details, structure etc.
- Assist in preparing portfolio reports to communicate limit usage / excesses, changes in ratings, market impacts and appetite to Business.
- Prepare presentations on an ad hoc basis for senior management, firm risk committees and regulators. Experience
- Bachelor's degree
- 3+ years' experience
- Familiarity with credit risk in traded products and documents (ISDAs, CSAs, etc), and demonstrated interest in corporate markets preferred
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communications skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently
- Fluency in English is required

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $85,000 and $140,000 year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
