We're seeking someone to join our Securitized Products Group (SPG) Finance team as a Product Controller in ISG Finance to ensure accuracy and integrity of the financials related to the SPG business by delivering on crucial reporting and analytical objectives.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate/Director level position within our Product Controllers Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross functional end-to-end product oversight

What you'll do in the role:
> Responsible for and lead aspects of individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging in-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segments
> Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls; proactively identify ways to reduce risk in work
> Produce revenue and balance sheet commentary and analytics for stakeholders
> Generate disclosures that are crucial to the Firm's reporting responsibilities
> Engage with partners within ISG Finance, across the broader Finance organization, and across the Firm to deliver on impactful projects and initiatives
> Collaborate with partners across the Firm on CCAR processes and results
> Act as a culture carrier; embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
> Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
What you'll bring to the role:
> In-depth knowledge of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
> Ability to operate independently with respect to most job responsibilities
> Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and innovate processes
> Proficiency in Microsoft Excel - experience working with large datasets and using formulas and pivot tables.
> Strong communication and relationship skills
> Time management skills and the ability to move quickly between subjects
> Critical thinking skills and the ability to challenge where applicable
> Background in Securitized Products would be an advantage
> Familiarity in digital tooling e.g. Alteryx
> At least 4 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $135,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
