Group Summary
Private Wealth Management (PWM) is a division of Morgan Stanley focused on delivering financial advisory resources to ultra-high net worth individuals, foundations and endowments. The UHNW Advisor Innovation and Solutions team serves the PWM portfolio of businesses, including PWM, IWM, FOR and GSE. This position affords the opportunity to gain a broad perspective of wealth management, investment banking, and investment management businesses. Attractive candidates should have an interest in (1) understanding the Wealth Management with focus on Family Office and UHNW client segment and (2) advancing the firm’s long-term strategic cross-collaboration initiatives. The candidate will be expected to think analytically, be detail oriented and client centric.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the strategy and project management for several critical initiatives to create new service offerings, expand investment platform, and enhance our processes for the UHNW client segment at Morgan Stanley
- Prepare strategic and organizational business analysis and high-level initiatives, including preparing presentation and reporting materials for senior management
- Own the development of marketing and education material
- Manage work streams for the PWM business by managing to deadlines and liaising with key partners across other groups within wealth management (Product, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Technology)
- Prepare competitive analysis, opportunity sizing modeling, Client / Advisor related analysis
- Lead Third Party vendor evaluation, RFP process and onboarding
- Be results oriented and quickly turn around high-quality work in a fast paced environment
Qualifications:
- B.A. required, other industry designations and licenses preferred
- 6-10 years experience in consulting, financial services, wealth management and/or business strategy & management and/or other related fields
- Strong interpersonal and process management skills
- Self-starter who will take initiative, learn quickly and work independently
- High level of attention to detail, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Team-oriented, with high level of administrative and interpersonal professionalism
- A track record of success and a demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and discretion

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
