The Wealth Management Conduct, Controls & Governance team, a group within the Wealth Management Client Segment Risk organization, is responsible for, among other functions, coordinating with the WM Risk organization, among others, to establish and maintain controls that are designed to mitigate risks to clients and the Firm. In addition, this team leads efforts to implement supervisory frameworks across the Client Segment channel.
The Wealth Management Conduct, Controls & Governance group is seeking to hire a Vice President to join the team.
Primary Responsibilities:
The primary role of the Vice President role is to work with senior leaders on the team to:
- Support the identification and development of new controls and processes to mitigate risks
- Assess the ongoing feasibility and efficiency of legacy controls
- Present materials to senior leaders and colleagues within the Firm and others as necessary, including regulators
- Support the project management of a variety of team, organization and firm initiatives
The candidate will collaborate closely with the business, other teams within the Client Segment Risk organization, Special Investigations Unit, Fraud Department, Legal and Compliance, Global Financial Crimes, Technology, and Client Services to address and mitigate risks.
Qualifications:
- Five to ten years of experience in the financial, consulting, or banking industry
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation experience
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong problem-solving and business judgment
- Strong organizational, planning and time management skills
- Ability and willingness to voice ideas, in addition to following instructions
- Ability to lead discussions including with more senior/experienced participants
- High motivation and energy with ability to develop strong working relationships
- A calm demeanor and ability to work on multiple tasks at one time
- Self-starter with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well with colleagues across a diverse range of working groups in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in MS Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Dataiku, and Tableau
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Series 7, 66 (or 63 & 65), and 24 (or 9 and 10) preferred

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
