We're seeking someone to join our Wealth Management CFO Support team as an Associate in Finance. The team is dedicated to providing support to Morgan Stanley's Wealth Management segment (MSWM), specifically within Investment Solutions. Members of the Wealth Management Finance team can expect to be involved in accounting, finance and process transformation.
In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate level position within our Product Controllers Job Family which specializes in ensuring adequacy of controls, profit and loss and balance sheet reporting and reconciliations for a segment / business / product area, as well as management reporting across business segments or cross-functional end-to-end product oversight.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of Finance functional area, tools and/or products
- Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls
- Act as a culture carrier; embody the Firm's values and hold yourself accountable to Firm standards
- Produce, maintain and automate detailed analyses on the full swath of financial metrics that are relevant to Wealth Management (WM) and Firm initiatives
- Work on a team that produces reporting for the firms largest business product
- Assist with reporting and budgeting on publicly reported metrics for Alternative Investments
-Cross-functional role working and learning with other teams to gain key insights. Including but not limited to: Business Management, Product, Accounting, Bank, Strategy, Data, offshore teams, etc.
-Develop enhanced analyses through partnership and collaboration to drive greater transparency, business performance evaluation and business strategy formulation
- Additional ad hoc analyses and recurring reporting as necessary
What you'll bring to the role:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment

- Foundational understanding of the Finance functional area, related products and/or client segments, with an interest in learning more about the broader industry and competitive landscape.

- Ability to communicate risks and potential impacts clearly to different audiences, with guidance from senior team members on mitigation approaches.
- Growing knowledge of Finance processes, tools, and technical skills, with a willingness to deepen subject matter expertise over time.
- Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in a relevant field.
- 2+ years of relevant experience (including internships or rotational programs).
- Strong aptitude for numbers with the ability to quickly learn new applications and technologies.
- Demonstrated willingness to learn, grow, and adapt in a fast paced environment.
- Experience working with data sets to analyze results, summarize findings, and respond to questions with support as needed.
- Strong desire to work in a collaborative, team oriented environment and contribute as a reliable team player.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to build and update analyses and presentations.
-Exposure to tools such as Dataiku, IBM Planning Analytics (TM1), SAP Business Objects, UiPath, Oracle Essbase, or Tableau is a plus.
- Exposure to automation or data analysis tools (e.g., Macros, SQL, or Python) is a plus, with interest in developing these skills further.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
