We’re seeking someone to join our team as an Office Administrator in Legal & Compliance, reporting to the Legal and Compliance Americas Administrative Officer in NY.
In the Legal & Compliance division, we assist the Firm in achieving its business objectives by facilitating and overseeing the Firm’s management of legal, regulatory and franchise risk. This is an Associate level position within the Legal and Compliance team.

What you'll do in the role:
- Manage the Onboarding and Offboarding Processes\
- Obtain space, providing access to applicable systems and shared drives
- Set up phone requests and create accounts and entitlements
- Manage the consultant/temp population related to collecting badges and other firm issued property.
- Manage first day experience of new employees, including desk set up, welcome notices, and other first-day activities
- Space Management
- Manage office and desk moves within the space including requests for relocations and changes
- Liaise with corporate services team on office infrastructure
- Provide temporary office space to guests
- Liaise with building services to address building maintenance issues
- Provide/approve building passes for any boxes and equipment leaving the building as well as guest passes to visitors
- Maintain and update floor plans and recovery seats
- Liaison to People Initiatives Office
- Work with LCD talent team on Dallas specific Talent, Diversity, and recruiting initiatives. Specific duties may include organizing events such as open-door sessions for visiting senior managers, senior speaker series for analysts, annual culture discussions, and quarterly new employee orientation.
- On-site contact for divisional events, including open forums, culture initiatives, promotion toasts and diversity programming.
- On-site contact for assistance with branding and communications (jive sites, memorandum, event announcements, etc.)
- Office Services
- Oversee all office supplies for the division
- Obtain office equipment when necessary, including PC, laptops and printers
- Manage any decommissioning of old equipment
- Maintain department E-mail groups
- Manage any event planning activities related to LCD (i.e., Toy drives, holiday parties etc.)
- Meet with the IT Service Manager to review or test new technology
- Coordinate site visits from core locations as well as serve as the point of contact.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as various internet and research tools
- Must have specialized or in-depth knowledge, expertise and skills in the area of responsibility essential to execute functional objectives
- Strong planning and decision-making skills to develop and implement office programs
- Good judgment and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude who works well with others
- Resourceful / takes initiative / is proactive
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects
- Strong attention to detail as well as solid organization and time management skills
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks concurrently
- College Degree Preferred (or Relative Corporate Experience preferred (3+ Years of Experience)

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $80,000 and $100,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
