Position Summary:

Morgan Stanley Wealth Management’s Investment Advisory Business, Consulting Group, is a leader in the industry, with over $2 trillion in assets under management. The Advisory Program Management team is integral in supporting the programs, policies, and products that Financial Advisors use to manage client accounts in a fee-based relationship. As we continue to innovate and lead in the industry, we are seeking an Investment Advisory Program Manager. The ideal candidate will excel in managing multiple products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, developing strong relationships with Financial Advisors, and delivering innovative solutions that meet clients’ investment needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Collaborate with product teams across the division to design and implement comprehensive investment strategies and solutions.
  • Provide ongoing support and training to Financial Advisor teams to enhance their understanding of available applications.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with Financial Advisors to understand their unique business needs and innovate potential solutions.
  • Prepare and present program trends and growth opportunities to senior management and stakeholders.

Operational Support:

  • Participate in developing and ongoing projects geared towards solutions and enhancements that drive business efficiencies and growth.
  • Identify and coordinate process improvements with internal and external partners.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies for product development and advisory activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-Business teams to translate strategic business goals into actionable projects, including timelines, deliverables and implementation for program rollout.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • 2-3 years of investment-related experience in the Financial Services Industry, ideally with Investment Advisory experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required, with focus on business or finance-related coursework preferred
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 licenses preferred.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Strong leadership skills and ability to present in front of an audience.
  • Knowledge of financial services products, including but not limited to, equities, bonds, options, mutual funds, and Investment Advisory managed accounts and programs.
  • Strong time management skills, with proven track record of managing multiple priorities, while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, quality, and accuracy
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse audiences, including Financial Advisors, Field Management, Senior Management, and asset managers.
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficiency with generative AI concepts and agent building.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
