Morgan Stanley Wealth Management (MSWM) is a global leader in wealth management, offering a comprehensive suite of products and services to individuals, businesses, and institutions. Within MSWM, the Capital Markets team supports clients globally across multiple asset classes by delivering differentiated market insights and high-touch service.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide fixed income market commentary, strategy, and relative-value trade ideas to MSWM Financial Advisors.

  • Conduct portfolio reviews and recommend reallocations aligned with client objectives and prevailing market conditions.

  • Leverage internal desk resources (including credit analysis and strategy) to evaluate portfolios and support investment recommendations.

  • Partner with the Advisory Trading Desk to source products and execute fixed income transactions.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • 1-3 years of experience in fixed income sales and trading.

  • Proficiency with Bloomberg; familiarity with rating agencies.

  • Fundamental understanding of global credit and interest-rate markets and/or municipals

  • Demonstrated ability to identify investment opportunities and analyze client portfolios.

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to summarize complex analysis clearly and concisely in both written and verbal formats.

  • Self-motivated and collaborative, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while exercising sound judgment and strong time-management skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret complex information accurately

  • Licenses: SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and Series 65) required within three months of hire.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
