The Portfolio Solutions Team is a dynamic, results-driven group responsible for the development of multi-asset quantitative investment strategies and providing research support to a wide range of clients. We are seeking a highly motivated Multi-Asset Quantitative Analyst to join our team in New York, where they will work in a fast-paced environment, handling complex matters and collaborating with internal teams to deliver impactful solutions for Neuberger Berman Group LLC. This role will involve working with complex data, code, and applications including Strategy Detective, a proprietary attribution and portfolio construction platform created by the team. The successful candidate will eventually collaborate with sales, portfolio management, and our multi-asset team to deliver innovative solutions to our clients.
Responsibilities:
• Maintain and develop Strategy Detective, a proprietary attribution and portfolio construction workbench to assess risk and performance of active investment portfolios and identify optimal investment solutions.
• Manage and expand a proprietary factor library with thousands of quant strategies built across asset classes, including futures, FX forwards, single-name equities, equity options, fixed income and more.
• Oversee and optimize our extensive Snowflake database, connection tools, and large R code base, including proprietary function libraries.
• Design new quant strategies to handle complex client inquiries, focusing on more advanced and less liquid markets.
• Develop and maintain multi-manager investment solutions for the firm's strategic partners and other institutional clients.
• Assist with RFPs
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in finance, mathematics, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in the asset management industry, with a focus on multi-asset and quantitative portfolio management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Advanced coding and data manipulation skills, with proficiency in R, SQL, Github/version control and Python. R and SQL are essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, strong organizational skills, project management, and the ability to prioritize work within a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of financial markets and quantitative strategies, and a willingness to expand knowledge in this area.
Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $90,000-$125,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
