Summary:

The Associate/VP will be part of the Multi-Sector Private Credit team, a newly launched division that invests across the alternative credit spectrum (illiquid and semi-liquid). The team invests in partnership with specialized investment teams and employs a flexible & opportunistic approach anchored around a relative value framework. The position provides an opportunity to work across a leading private markets platform in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with constant interaction with the most senior members of the team.

Responsibilities:

The Associate / VP will operate as a generalist working across two principal functions: investment strategy and product strategy. Key aspects of the role include:

  • Assist team head across all stages of portfolio construction (strategic, thematic, relative value and risk modelling)

  • Coordinate all relevant data and information capture from relevant specialist teams (market views, pipeline information, pricing, etc.)

  • Assist in preparation for the quarterly Public Private Investment Committee, a forum that gathers views across listed and unlisted securities

  • Participate in the production and publication of thought pieces and update tactical outlook quarterly

  • Lead sales teams engagement operating as a product specialist providing critical investment input to the sales force

  • Help in the preparation of marketing material and map client opportunities across relevant regions

  • Assist in product strategy and product design (retail and institutional)

Qualifications:

  • Excellent academic credentials (both undergraduate or graduate school candidates welcome)

  • 2-10 years of relevant experience in investment banking, management consulting, and/or private equity

  • Strong technical foundations in corporate finance and accounting

  • Strong quantitative abilities, including experience in financial modeling and valuation

  • Must have strong judgment, critical thinking and written skills; ability to articulate and present ideas effectively both orally and in written form

  • Demonstrate initiative and creativity in approach to problem solving; demonstrated experience in conducting research and interacting with others to develop solutions

  • Show ability to multi-task with a fine-tuned attention to detail

  • Team-player attitude and a desire to work on a wide range of projects

Compensation Details

The salary range for this role is $150,000-$200,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in New York City. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus.
