The Team

The EMEALA (EMEA and Latin America) HCM team is made up of generalist HCM professionals that support the EMEALA business through the full lifecycle of HR. The team is highly collaborative and team members work together closely to provide HCM support and guidance to the business. A high level of engagement through lively debate and challenge is the norm within the team. New ideas are encouraged, and continuous improvement of our delivery is expected.

The Role

The Senior HCM Business Partner will provide support across all HCM disciplines to teams located in 15 countries. A senior and key member of the team, the Senior HCM Business Partner is expected to complement the Head of Human Capital Management in the region and provide mentorship and direction to the junior team members.

Primary Responsibilities

General:

  • Serve as an advisor to the business on people and talent related strategies

  • Execute key people development processes including performance reviews, talent management, year-end compensation, advancement and diversity

  • Play a key role in the effective day to day delivery of HCM support (e.g. ad hoc requests, new hires, terminations, data / reporting)

  • Contribute to strategic HCM projects and continuously seek to identify ways to improve current practices

  • Ensure HCM policies are maintained and updated in line with legislation or firmwide changes

  • Partner with functional HCM colleagues to ensure effective delivery across all other HCM disciplines including recruiting, learning, global mobility, employee relations and benefits

  • Review and sign off work created by the HCM Associates (for example: contracts of employment termination letters, ad hoc letters or emails as needed, Workday approvals etc.)

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Possess and utilize a working knowledge of the regulatory environment as it pertains to compensation

  • Extensive experience and a high degree of comfort with:

  • Advising senior management on appropriate compensation strategies for the business

  • Administering year-end compensation processes involving both discretionary and formulaic compensation structures

  • Utilizing market date (e.g. McLagan)

Recruitment:

  • Work closely with the Head of Recruitment for EMEA and LatAm to ensure full understanding of open positions, roles and responsibilities. Advise on compensation and levelling for new hires to ensure consistency across the business

  • Supporting this function when the Head of Recruitment is on annual leave

  • Review and sign off for all contracts of employment for new hires created by the HCM Associates

Employee Relations:

  • Provide advice to managers and employees in a timely and effective manner

  • Comfortable handing sensitive and complex employee issues with a pragmatic and commercial approach

Learning and Development:

  • Ability to identify needs on an ongoing basis and provide effective strategies / solutions

  • Ability to provide effective coaching to team members where appropriate

Qualifications Needed:

  • 10+ years of previous HR experience

  • Ideally CIPD Qualified

Technical Skills:

  • Strong HR background with proven experience in delivering high quality HR support to a demanding client base

  • Extensive experience interacting with senior stakeholders in an advisory capacity

  • Exposure to regional offices outside of the UK essential

  • Relevant prior experience within Asset Management or Financial Services industry

  • Workday experience preferred
