SMA Trading Associate
The Managed Account Group (MAG) provides Separately Managed Account (SMA) solutions to Financial Intermediaries and Neuberger Berman Wealth Advisory clients. The Group administers Equity, Fixed Income and ETF/Mutual Fund allocation products offered to numerous SMA and Unified Managed Account (UMA) distribution networks.
Responsibilities include:
•Communicating accurate and timely model-based directives to third-party partners
•Managing SMA’s in accordance with strategy guidelines and portfolio manager directives
•Routing equity, ETF and mutual fund order flow
•Generating orders for new accounts, flows, terminations and tax management requests
•Reviewing portfolio guidelines and account level dispersion analysis
•Developing expert knowledge of the team’s trade modeling and order creation systems
Requirements include:
•2 to 3 years of Separately Managed Account (SMA) experience
•Experience with various trading systems including InvestCloud APL, Vestmark and Charles River
•Proficient in basic Excel skills
•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail
•Familiarity with equity, fixed income, and mutual fund securities and markets
•Excellent communication skills and the ability to articulate complex information
•Demonstrated experience working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative and demanding environment
•Ability to identify and address operational risk issues
•Series 7 and 66 required or the ability to attain within six months of start-date
•Bachelor’s Degree

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $90,000-$115,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable.
