This role could be located either in Bahamas or Trinidad and Tobago where the successful candidate resides.
What is the opportunity?
In this role you will be accountable for the design and delivery of training programs to client facing roles in Private Banking and Specialist Sales Force (SSF)throughout the Caribbean for new/revised processes, procedures, and products aligned to credit. You will be responsible for collaborating with teams on the design of training approaches, delivery methods and materials employing best in class adult learning techniques and digital tools; maintenance of Learning Maps materials, effective evaluation and continuous improvement of end to end credit training and active onboarding of new to Bank employees. This role also supports Special Projects outlined by the organization.
What will you do?
- Build and maintain a high performance culture through sales force capability, proficiency and effectiveness resulting in client facing employees are both confident and competent in their ability to meet client needs.
- Focus on keeping the client experience at the centre of everything we do
- Identify gaps, best practices, and opportunities at the market, team, sales role/person level, and recommend priorities, sequence, and action plans for employee capability building
- Simplify the complex with short, clear messaging leveraging technology to embed and sustain changes in products and processes to support a differentiated client experience.
- Continually evolve bringing best in class adult learning techniques partnering with HR Learning and Development to align with industry and organization best practices
- Work effectively with cross-functional partners including Learning and Development, Role Strategy, Products, IT and Project Management
- Collaborate with stakeholders to manage requirements for training delivery including research, and implementation of customized content, training aids and evaluation approaches.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Subject Matter Experts and keep current and up to date on all program content.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Proven business and organizational knowledge, planning and implementing capabilities with knowledge/experience across Retail Banking, SSF and Private Banking
- Strong communication and facilitation skills with emphasis on change management and cultural sensitivity
- Ability to apply critical thinking, creativity and innovation supporting digital enablement of the workforce
- A conceptual and strategic thinker with ability to impact and influence senior leaders and partners.
- 5-7 years of retail banking experience with a minimum of 2 years in management
- University degree or equivalent education
- Ability to travel throughout Caribbean and work outside of bank opening hours including evenings and weekends, travel - one week every two months
