What will you do?

  • Provide technical expertise and assistance with the Extraction, Loading, and Transformation of structured and unstructured datasets

  • Maintain long-running services, APIs, and data pipelines, including monitoring, logging, and resource management

  • Help with the development of BizOps and Data Science products and algorithms to solve impactful business problems

  • Support projects with thorough documentation of usage, design decisions, and capabilities

  • Demo results and findings to various internal and external business stakeholders

  • In this role, you will communicate and interact frequently with RBC partners and/or employees located across Canada and/or worldwide.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have:

  • Demonstrated success writing robust data pipelines leveraging technologies such as Spark, SQL, Airflow and Snowflake

  • Experience with Java or a JVM-based programming language such as Kotlin

  • Experience developing on a cloud platform (i.e. AWS, GCP, Azure)

  • Experience with Python and shell scripting in a Linux environment

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with AWS cloud computing, managing data infrastructure leveraging Devops and MLops knowledge

  • Experience working in enterprise environment
