What is the opportunity?

In this role you will be responsible for the holistic view of select Supplier relationships across multiple platforms / functional units / geographic locations. This role will be responsible for executing and ensuring adherence to RBC policy related to third party suppliers. You will act as an expert and execute on supplier management requirements and best practices within Caribbean Technology (relationship management, performance management, risk management, invoice management). You will ensure Supplier management records are stored & current and retained per RBC policies and standards. You will also facilitate regular Supplier Review Sessions with the business and Technology Stakeholders for assigned suppliers.

What will you do?

  • Maintain a comprehensive view of Supplier’s overall relationship with RBC
  • Partner with RBC internal stakeholders (Procurement, technical teams, etc.) for contract renewals or new engagements with suppliers in accordance with RBC’s supplier contract process

  • Ensure effective execution of Supplier Relationship Management “SRM” methods defined in the Supplier Management Playbook
  • Perform due diligence to ensure that relevant Third Party suppliers are in compliance with policies, audit and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular supplier meetings with Suppliers & internal stakeholders to review performance and escalate issues. Collaborates with technical teams to review Service Level Agreements for all assigned suppliers
  • Ensure submission & validation of SLA reporting within required timeframes, document as required and works with Application custodians/ Engagement Owners and suppliers to close any service gaps & maintain performance levels through monthly reviews of SLAs and relationship building for assigned suppliers
  • Identify emerging Supplier specific risk and enforce Supplier management activities and escalate issues in a timely manner
  • Support any project escalations on Vendor deliveries and collaborate with Engagement Owners/ Application custodian to ensure all identified supplier risks (Privacy, Info Security, etc.) are documented and remediated in a timely manner
  • Work with RBCC service partners & suppliers to identify, document & remediate service gaps and introduce new efficiencies

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree in Computer Science or Business or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Training in Supplier Management
  • 3 years IT experience
  • 2 years’ experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel, pivot tables and PowerPoint.
  • Strong inter-personal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
  • Strong conceptual, analytical, critical and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Experience in Supplier management strategies
  • Experience in process improvements and efficiencies
