What is the opportunity?

As the FX Advisor & Execution Specialist, you will be responsible for the advisory and execution of FX product trades for internal and external clients.

What will you do?

  • Execution of trades on FX products with precision and minimal errors. FX products include spot, forward, swap, DCI, option, structures and will also involve precious metals.
  • Role requires London shift coverage on a rotational basis.
  • Execute and manage FI trades and orders.
  • Execute and manage Equity trades and orders.
  • Able to structure, recommend, price and execute FX strategies to match various client needs.
  • Providing FX advisory to Relationship Managers (RM) and DAC clients.
  • Preparing daily commentaries and trade ideas for RMs and clients.
  • Managing client margin calls and margin cuts. And help provide trade ideas that help clients manage their FX risk.
  • To participate in idea generations and presentations in the weekly investment meetings for RMs and monthly asset class group meetings for the investment team.
  • Troubleshoot issues stemming from front to back processes and execution.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree or equivalent is required.
  • The role would typically require 7-9 years of experience in FX sales or FX advisory related position.
  • Good spoken and written English is a must
  • This role requires speaking to North Asia-based clients, proficiency in Mandarin is essential.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal skills and effective customer relationship management skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Able to multitask and proactively manage deadlines, working within a dynamic and fast pace team set up.
  • Strong analytical and organisational capabilities.
  • Demonstrate his/her ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Exhibit ability to cope under high stress environment (e.g. during a market turmoil).
  • Computer literate with excellent MS Office skills, particularly in Excel.

Nice-to-have

  • This role requires speaking to North Asia-based clients, proficiency in Cantonese is nice-to-have.
