POSITION
RBC is offering a 12 month internship opportunity starting in September October 2025 in our London office. You will be working with the Structuring Team within Global Markets.
During your internship you will have a chance to apply your academic knowledge to practical financial experience. Your responsibilities will include supporting senior colleagues with research, evaluation, monitoring markets, and learning about the products offered to clients.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- To be trained across all aspects of Equity and Credit derivatives within the EMEA & APAC Structuring team
- To expand knowledge and distribution of Equity and Credit products marketed by RBC
- To develop a high degree of competence in all relevant RBC systems
- To price flow and exotic options (eg.basket options, barrier options, fund linked options etc...)
- To produce trade ideas (thematic ideas, market timing ideas)
- To analyse product sensitivities and suitability Draft trade documentations (termsheets and other marketing materials)
- To make use of the quant library and implement new additions Develop Excel / VBA based tools in order to automate recurrent tasks
Additional Responsibilities
- Build strong working relationships with Global Markets colleagues and stakeholders.
- Establish relationships with peers in all Euro offices.
Education and Experience
- Strong academic education with degree in a quantitative subject
- Fluency in English (spoken and written)
- Strong numerical, analytical and interpersonal skills.
- Strong interest in global financial markets
- VBA / Python experience required
