What is the opportunity?

This is an opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a large, diverse and experienced investment research team within one of the top UK wealth managers. We are looking for an experienced Fixed Income Senior Analyst to be responsible for fund manager selection and portfolio construction across the fixed income asset class. As a result, we require someone with solid experience and knowledge across the fixed income asset class.

This role supports the Global Manager Research Europe team with manager selection, model portfolio constructions and ESG research across all other major asset classes.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate and support asset class specialists across the Global Manager Research Europe team with new fund searches, due diligence refreshes and fund updates.

  • Lead new manager searches across the fixed income universe.

  • Undertake consistent monitoring of recommended funds within fixed income and provide timely updates through written reports and presenting.

  • Undertake meeting preparation, external fund manager meetings and prepare regular reports on the fund performance, positioning and outlook.

  • Communicate recommendations to the advisor network through morning calls and group meetings.

  • Contribute to the model construction and management of internal funds, across all major asset classes, with a focus on fixed income.

  • Prepare relevant reports and data analysis for internal meetings and committees and help document them.

  • Respond to and/or redirect investment manager queries in a timely manner.

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven manager research experience.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the fixed income asset class.

  • Good understanding of, and interest in, financial markets.

  • Advanced knowledge of Morningstar software.

  • Advanced Excel skills with focus on data analytics.

  • CFA qualification

Nice-to-have

  • Good understanding of Stewardship and ESG research and integration.
