What is the opportunity?
We are currently looking for an Associate to join our Communications, Media & Entertainment sector team. This will be to work on preparing market analysis, strategic analysis and valuation/financial modelling for clients in the communications infrastructure sector, as well as advising clients on their strategy and the successful implementation of transactions.
What will you do?
- Assisting in execution of mandated deals
- Assisting in preparation of marketing pitchbooks and related materials
- Gathering public information through numerous sources Creating financial model analyses
- Generating discounted cash flow models and other models for valuation metrics
- Building company forecast models
- Drafting marketing documents such as Confidential Information Memorandums for financings and/or sell-side assignments
- Producing and maintaining various databases
- General research
What do you need to succeed?
Must have
- Degree level qualification or equivalent
- Demonstrable Investment Banking transaction experience and a comprehensive understanding of the valuation approaches typically used
- Communications Infrastructure or Infrastructure
- M&A advisory experience within Big 4 or Investment Bank
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic individual
- Good lateral thinker, imaginative, creative and proactive Ability to source, analyse and apply relevant information Rigorous work ethic
- Works well under pressure
- Strong analytical skills (financial modelling) Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Advanced computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint
Nice to have
- Additional European language skills
- CFA level 1, 2 or 3 or ACA is desirable
