What is the opportunity?
The role is for an Application Support Analyst, supporting the operation of Global Equity Derivative Technology applications used by our business partners in both trading and risk / position management, for our Front Office, Risk, Finance and Operations groups.
This position is full time and will require you to work a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with the option to work one day from home.
What will you do?
- Responsible for ensuring maximum system availability and prompt and accurate remediation of issues.
- Address issues and concerns from Front Office, Finance, Risk and Operations
- Leverage automation to improve day-to-day operations
- Liaise between Business and Technology to ensure connectivity required to achieve our collective objectives
- Actively manage infrastructure to drive efficiency
- Communicate outages and project updates effectively to stakeholders
- Collaborate with development team and vendors to resolve issues and improve our platform
- Proactively drive IT governance and de-risking initiatives
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Understanding of SQL database query and schema principles
- Ability to create support documentation, user guides and training manuals
- Use of scripting languages and other automation tools
- Working knowledge of Operating Systems in both Windows and Linux
- Solid/Proven support experience in a front office banking environment
- Education to degree level
Nice-to-have
- Previous experience with the current platform technologies
- Stays current on industry technologies, participants and market developments.
- Maintains a "client first" mentality
