What is the opportunity?
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Software Developer to join our innovative Digital & Client Platforms technology team. As a key technical leader, you will drive the design, development, and delivery of scalable, high-performing, and secure software solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor junior developers, and lead the adoption of best practices in software engineering to meet evolving business needs.
What will you do?
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of complex, scalable software solutions across front-end and back-end systems.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to development teams, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and innovation.
Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and establish development best practices.
Work in an Agile team environment which is fast paced, fun and collaborative.
Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze business requirements, evaluate technical feasibility, and design effective solutions.
Troubleshoot, resolve, and optimize technical issues to ensure system reliability and performance.
Drive continuous improvement by identifying risks, technical debt, and areas for architectural enhancements.
Lead joint technical design sessions, ensuring alignment between teams, projects, and business objectives.
Stay current with emerging technologies and tools, recommending and implementing innovative approaches to software delivery.
Oversee DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing to maintain high-quality software releases.
What do you need to succeed?
Must Have
7+ years of software development experience with at least 3+ years in a lead or senior engineering role.
Expertise in full-stack development, with strong proficiency in Java, Node.js and front-end frameworks such as Angular or React/VueJs.
Proven experience with RESTful API design, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Strong understanding of SQL/NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, SQL Server).
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps tools (Git, GitHub, Jenkins), and automated testing frameworks.
In-depth knowledge of system design, object-oriented principles, and software architecture best practices.
Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving skills, and the ability to drive complex initiatives to completion.
Deadline-driven and results-oriented; able to meet consistently high-quality standards while handling a variety of tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
Nice to Have
Experience with event-driven architecture, Kafka, or other messaging systems.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Experience in cloud (Azure, OCP4)
Background in financial or enterprise-grade software development.
Understanding of security best practices and implementing secure coding techniques.
