What is the opportunity?
To provide L2 Production Support for the UK provided Milvus Family Custody services and associated business lines across all relevant regions. Ensure production environment availability to meet SLAs, solve incidents and carry out system maintenance activities. To provide Support Leadership across Run The Bank Support and Strategic Project Initiatives. This will include Architectural Design input and Validation, analytical and technical support, and mentoring on projects based on operational, client, regulatory and market requests. To perform research analysis, planning and implementation of Business and IT projects in order to enhance competitive edge or reduce costs, liaising with project teams to provide estimates and to support System and User Acceptance testing globally.
This position is required to work collaboratively within I&TS T&O, to support the achievement of the I&TS IT Strategic Roadmap as well as the Business strategy, including short-term and longer term objectives .
RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.
What will you do?
- Provide L2 Production Application Technical Support to our business community.
- Resolve incidents in Production environments in collaboration with service providers and vendors.
- React on production event alerts and engage the Incident Management and Problem Management processes.
- Provide Application Release Management, Maintenance and Post Implementation Validation.
- Prepare and execute Disaster Recovery Exercises in collaboration with the Continuity Manager and Infrastructure Service Providers.
- - Support Business Projects and Enhancements providing technical expertise and planning as required.
- - Collaborate with infrastructure service providers to deliver infrastructure projects and carry out essential maintenance activities.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- IBMi / iSeries Operating System technical skills
- Good Knowledge of IT Processes and Standards : Development Life Cycle, ITIL, Cyber Security Policies and Audit.
- Knowledge of main technologies used within RBC IS.
- Proven Team work and collaboration skills
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of the Custody Business Industry.
- Good interpersonal skills and with internal clients, external providers, business leaders, colleagues and staff.
Nice-to-have
- Milvus G3 application Suite experience
- Technical skills in Linux Redhat / Oracle database
- IBMi / iSeries CL scripting skills
- Documentation skills including architecture cartography
- Experience using AI tooling
