What is the opportunity?
You will be a Senior Analyst within the Client Valuations team within Business Client Services (BCS) Regulatory Services.
This position is full time and will require you to work a minimum of 4 days in the office per week with the option to work one day from home.
What will you do?
Develop and support applications used in the Client Valuations team including workbooks used to facilitate key regulatory processes for Dodd Frank, SEC, EMIR and MiFID
Develop and support RAD applications and proactively review the control framework within European BCS with the aim to develop, implement and continuously enhance operational risk management practices
Produce and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end valuations to the client in a timely manner and in accordance with any regulatory rules
Proactively identify and deliver improvements to the client valuation reporting processes and controls framework
Continuously develop product / market knowledge to ensure daily processes are appropriate and minimise operational risk
Ensure client transactions are valued in accordance with the standards outlined in standing orders (RBC’s policy papers)
Establish and document client valuations procedures in accordance with BCS guidelines and RBC policies
Perform portfolio reconciliation with clients allowing them to be compliant with their obligations under the Dodd Frank and EMIR regulatory framework.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
Quantitative, Finance or Economics degree or similar / equivalent
Strong IT skills (including Python and Visual Basic for Excel)
The role requires familiarity and understanding of Derivative products. It does not require quantitative product pricing knowledge, but the ideal candidate should have the aptitude/ability to learn and understand complex valuations
Requires attention to detail and accuracy. Gaps in this can cause significant reputational risk, hence loss of business
The ability to perform analysis of business processes and implement change as appropriate
Excellent communications skills, written and verbal.
Nice-to-have
Previous Client Valuations experience or experience in a similar client facing role
Project Management skills: required to participate in projects that impacts the client valuations area.
