Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We have an exciting opportunity for a Regulatory Reporting Associate Director to join our team in the London office. This role is to cover all aspects of regulatory capital monitoring and reporting under CRD V/PRA/IFPR/IFR and other applicable regulations using Axiom and existing reporting tools to build and enhance a robust control framework.

The successful candidate will be a member of the Regulatory Reporting team and will be primarily in charge of helping to co-ordinate and run the production of the daily & monthly capital reporting, quarterly COREP reporting, controls and governance and other ad hoc reporting deliverables.

The role will also be involved on some projects to represent the Production team, either in the analysis phase, the testing phase or to support project management.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Ability to review and produce daily, monthly, quarterly internal and external capital and leverage reporting.

  • Strong knowledge on COREP, MIFID and IFR and capital regulations.

  • Extensive experience in producing ICAAP forecasts and Pillar 3 documents.

  • Perform in-depth review on the accuracy of regulatory reports.

  • Detailed review of “end to end” processes and controls of internal and external reporting. Reports include but are not limited to: Capital Adequacy (by business), Large Exposures and Leverage Ratio.

  • Review documentation and validation of key regulatory interpretations.

  • Assist with enhancing internal regulatory documents, polices and EUC’s.

  • Lead and assist with projects across teams related to identifying and enhancing controls / streamline existing processes accompanied with documentation.

  • Assist in creating and ensuring the team adheres to UK Regulatory Reporting internal policies.

  • Maintain and enhance control framework for reporting process.

  • Experience in balance sheet reconciliation.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Proven experience of working in a reporting or control environment and experience of regulatory reporting requirements.

  • Experience in dealing with regulatory change and enhancement projects.

  • Knowledge of Capital Markets products notably: Securities, SFT’s and derivatives.

  • Understanding of regulatory rules eg. Basel III, CRD V&VI, IFR.

  • Experience in people management, including junior and more experienced staff.

  • Strong Excel skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Finance qualification (ACA/CIMA/ACCA/CFA) will be beneficial to this role because of the focus on creating a strong control environment

  • Use of Regulatory Reporting Software (Axiom)

  • Strong understanding of PRA standardised capital calculation rules and Basel 3.1

  • Extensive experiences with COREP, IFR, ICAAP and Pillar 3 reporting
