What is the opportunity?
The Manager, Transaction Banking Process Optimization, will collaborate with key partners in multiple lines of business, including Implementation & Integration and Client Service teams in Transaction Banking, Product, Banking Operations and other strategic partners to manage, design, develop and implement end to end operational processes. You will be accountable for the delivery and execution of process owner goals and objectives, while managing against business plans, operational/risk mitigation and enhancing the client experience with full alignment to the Transaction Banking strategy and our Collective Ambition.
What will you do?
- Translate strategy into operational requirements with appropriate procedural updates and ongoing monitoring to deliver RBC solutions.
- Responsible for clear, concise and accurate creation/maintenance of detailed process documentation including operating guidelines, job aids, process maps, policies, and procedures.
- Provide the Implementation & Integration and Client Service teams in Transaction Banking and other partners with strategic operational advice and insights.
- Proactively identifies innovative opportunities to enhance client experience and business/process efficiency and effectiveness, influencing front and back-end process design.
- Understands full impact of end-to-end business process and balances exceptional client experience and business results accordingly.
- In partnership with partners within Transaction Banking and stakeholders, successfully execute change, issue resolution and effective decision-making.
- Maintain a client first culture with a sense of urgency to ensure escalations are managed quickly and effectively
- Enable digitization strategies through increased automation and straight through processing
- Support Transformation Programs led by Transaction Banking, CBO, P&CB, Enterprise and Innovation partners
- Business Risk Oversight and Controls
- Provide LOB with advice and operational insights based on review of KPIs/data, ownership of process scorecards
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
- University / College education or professional designation equivalents or relevant work experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including attention to details related to complex and customized documentation requirements, and problem resolution competencies
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Self-starter, ability to learn independently with ambiguity
- Ability to work independently as well as with other members of a team
- Demonstrated prioritization and coordination skills with the ability to work to multiple deadlines, complex programs and assess areas of opportunity to improve for the greatest impact.
- Demonstrated techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling initiatives.
- Change management experience
- Strong understanding or experience in Treasury and Trade Products
- Relationship building and management
- Excellent MS Excel and MS Word skills
- University/College education or equivalent work experience
Nice to have:
- Knowledge and or experience of Transaction Banking (Treasury and Trade)
- Process mapping experience and knowledge of Microsoft Visio 2013 or later version.
- Bilingual (French/English)
