Job Description

What is the Opportunity?

We are looking for a Vice President to work closely with senior bankers, clients and internal product groups/partners towards the successful completion of live transactions being undertaken by Real Estate Capital Partners (RECP). This role will also include assisting senior bankers with the on-going management and monitoring of existing transactions that were underwritten by RECP.

What will you do?

  • Support and gain a comprehensive understanding of Real Estate Capital Partners (and the wider Corporate and Investment Banking division) by completing on-the-desk training.
  • Provide support and training to more junior team members, including Analysts and Associates.
  • Provide analytical, due diligence and transactional support on loan origination and on new business opportunities as well as providing support in respect of the on-going management and monitoring of existing transactions that have been underwritten by Real Estate Capital Partners.
  • Assist more senior members of Real Estate Capital Partners in advising our current or prospective new clients on actual or prospective transactions as well as taking on his own client responsibilities as he becomes more senior.
  • Develop financial models and conduct company research alongside analysing and reporting on market data.
  • Other such duties, responsibilities and authority as may reasonably be required.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • BA degree or equivalent with an emphasis in finance/ account and/or real estate finance.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to build productive and long- term relationships with all members of Real Estate Capital Partners.
  • Rigorous work ethic, a willingness to invest time where required to meet deadlines whilst ensuring that all work is completed accurately and to the best of the VP's ability.
  • Ability to cope well under pressure, prioritise tasks accordingly, keeping focused and productive whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
  • Understanding of real estate finance concepts (in particular, valuation methodologies and basic cashflow modelling) as well as a growing understanding of transaction structuring and deal process.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience of and proficiency with computer applications such as MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Previous experience (i.e. internships) in a real estate finance focused business and/or evidence of genuine interest in real estate finance.
