Job Description

What is the opportunity?

We are looking for an Associate/Vice President Global Markets Europe Sales Business Manager to support the strategic agenda and the day-to-day operational activities of the business. This role will partner closely with functional teams including Finance, Risk, Legal, Strategy, Human Resources, Technology and Compliance to achieve the platform’s goals and objectives.

RBC’s expectation is that all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • Support the strategic agenda to achieve financial growth, and optimise financial performance, operational effectiveness, infrastructure, regulatory readiness, risk management and the control environment of the business
  • Support Sales Heads with financial planning, forecasts and cost optimisation. This includes partnering with Client Intelligence to ensure external benchmarking data is incorporated into sales plans and tracking sales performance / KPIs
  • Work in close coordination with Product Business Managers on strategic initiatives, projects and new business proposals
  • Central liaison between Front Office and functional partners including Finance, Middle Office, KYC, Risk, Legal, Strategy, Human Resources, Technology, Compliance and Internal Audit
  • Partner with Sales Technology, Client Intelligence and the AI Innovation teams to evolve Sales applications and workflows
  • Support communication and marketing efforts for the region
  • Support Sales Heads and Senior Relationship Management team with client lifecycle management and KYC refresh
  • Manage remediation of issues arising from operational risk events, internal audits, compliance reviews, regulator visits and self-identified issues
  • Ensure new staff are onboarded appropriately and in line with all Compliance and regulatory requirements
  • Manage assigned approvals including invoices, expenses and procurement
  • Support regional processes, initiatives and business continuity plans as required

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Experience:

  • Experience of a Capital Markets environment with knowledge and experience of products, business risks and operational processes
  • Educated to degree level or relevant experience
  • High level of experience with internal client needs and objectives to provide innovative and effective solutions

Skills:

  • Excellent Communication, Written, Analytical and Presentation skills
  • Highly proficient with Excel and PowerPoint
  • Self-motivated, innovative, and adaptable
  • Team player and ability to work with and co-ordinate many people
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail
