Job Description

What is the opportunity?

You will join the Regional Business Manager (RBM) Team, supporting the Managing Directors of the Northern and Southern Regions in developing strategic, tactical, and operational initiatives to shape the future of RBC Brewin Dolphin (RBC BD). This role is key to the successful delivery of the strategic framework, requiring collaboration with senior stakeholders, Heads of Office (HOO) and Regional Centre Heads (RCH) and acting as a support. No two days are the same—you’ll embrace challenges, juggle priorities, and drive change in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The role is varied, with no two days being the same and there is a strong requirement for the successful candidate to be keen to embrace a challenge, with the flexibility to get involved in several different projects, across different business areas concurrently. You will be a self-starter who can work independently, at times without direct supervision, but is comfortable interacting with senior stakeholders.

This is a permanent, full-time role requiring 4 days in the office. The role is open to candidates based within a commutable distance to any RBC BD office in the North. There will be some elements of travel required to other offices within the patch, so a willingness to travel to collaborate with stakeholders is important.

What will you do?

  • Collaborate with Client Facing Teams (CFT), and CFT Support teams to drive strategic initiatives and oversee day-to-day business operations.

  • Act as a central contact for cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.

  • Plan, monitor, and execute projects via the Branch Playbook, including new business propositions and regulatory changes.

  • Track and manage KPIs, mitigate operational risks, and improve efficiency through process adherence.

  • Engage stakeholders to foster collaboration, reduce regional risks, and influence outcomes across departments.

  • Support growth strategies, including client retention, marketing initiatives, and best-practice implementation.

  • Facilitate decision-making by identifying barriers and uniting stakeholders to drive progress.

Must-have

  • Experience in a business role with comparable responsibilities, preferably in wealth management.

  • Robust knowledge of wealth management (e.g., financial planning, investment management) and regulatory landscapes.

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across a matrix organization.

  • Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with meticulous attention to detail.

  • Proven ability to multitask, solve problems independently, and adapt communication to diverse audiences.

Nice-to-have

  • Relevant professional qualifications.
