Your role

We’re looking for a driven, intellectually curious, creative problem solver to join our IB COO team to support the Global Markets Operating Officer in regionally relevant matters. The role will consist of significant regulatory interactions and strategic development initiatives.

Your team

You’ll be working in the IB Americas COO team in New York. The team focuses on wide-ranging matters relating to the IB’s Global Markets businesses in the region. As part of the IB COO Function, your team is responsible for a broad portfolio of activities centered around acting as a strategic enabler to the business, overseeing the integrity of the front to back control environment, interacting with regulators and managing the change portfolio.

Your expertise

• ideally 4+ years of experience in the investment banking industry, preferably in global markets
• possess a great attitude and strong work ethic. Work well in a collaborative environment.
• are intelligent and self-driven. You employ a logical thought process and have an innate sense of how to prioritize.
• have an ability to make timely and independent judgements while working in a fast paced and results driven environment.
• have a capacity to understand new processes and quickly evaluate issues.
• possess effective time management skills and a strong ability to multitask.
• have strong communication (oral and written), presentation and interpersonal skills to liaise with members of the organization at all levels.
• have a consensus building and partnership approach. You’re able to collaborate across different teams and comfortably work, and network, across diverse businesses and personalities.
• are analytical and capable of presenting and interpreting information to support your decision making.
• have an understanding of the financial markets and/or experience working in an investment bank setting.

Salary information

CA, CO, WA and NY based roles: The salary range for this role is $118,750 to $136,250 based on experience, education, and skill level. This role may be eligible for discretionary incentive compensation. For benefits information: ubs.com/usbenefits.
