We’re looking for a HOLT Sector Specialist to:

• Develop an understanding of corporate performance, valuation and the HOLT methodology
• Cultivate a mastery in the necessary accounting adjustments to eliminate accounting distortions in companies/sectors under coverage
• Generate unique company and sector insights by leveraging the HOLT framework and developing a strong understanding of your assigned sector and broader markets
• Build and maintain a client network through meetings and bespoke projects to drive impact
• Collaborate with a wide range of teams within UBS (Equity Research, Sales/Trading, Private Bank) to create incremental business

You’ll be working on the HOLT Sector Specialist team within Equity Research in New York. We provide market-leading insights, investment solutions and services to buy-side equities portfolio managers and analysts. HOLT is the industry leader in understanding the corporate performance and valuation of equities with a strong client franchise and brand recognition across major institutional investors, hedge funds and wealth managers.

Your expertise

• Degree in Finance or Accounting and/or holding or pursuing professional certifications (CFA or CPA)
• 1 to 3 years’ experience in Equity Research, Public Accounting, Investing Banking, or working as a Financial Analyst with an interest in taking on a client facing role
• Ability to work closely with broader team and Senior HOLT Sector Specialists
• Passion for equity markets and a strong understanding of corporate performance and valuation
• Adept at communicating views on and off paper in an articulate and confident manner
• Excellent written and verbal skills, strong interpersonal skills, and attention to detail
• Candidates must be self-motivated, team-oriented and thrive in a dynamic work environment
