Your role
Computer Systems Engineer/Architect - UBS Business Solutions US LLC - Morrisville, NC:
• Design and develop solutions to complex applications problems, system administration issues, or network concerns.
• Perform systems management and integration functions.
• Interact with product managers and business analysts and gather relevant financial, regulatory requirements for credit risk financial products.
• Prepare documentation of changes to satisfy internal and external audit requirements.
• Develop new functional requirements using Java, C++, Python, STL, Boost, and Springboot.
• Plan and estimate effort required to develop applications using Agile and JIRA.
• Develop enterprise-level web applications and Micro services using Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, Apache Ignite, and Hazelcast and store relevant data in PostgresSQL and Sybase.
• Research and improve system efficiencies by integrating with latest architecture and scalable architect solutions for Windows/Linux OS.
• Develop API specifications for real-time web applications by leveraging storage power of big data, Hadoop, and SparkSQL.
• Adhere to DevOps principles and develop CI/CD pipelines for integration and release quarterly changes to applications.
• Migrate on-premise application infrastructure to Cloud using MS Azure and Databricks solutions.
• Support production issues by performing root cause analysis and contribute to production stability.
• Develop multi-threaded infrastructure to automate repeated tasks to reduce manual effort and design test cases.
• Address queries raised by Change management and Internal Audit on the current functionality of applications.
• Participate in functional requirement discussions by leveraging knowledge of Credit products and exposure calculation models (Monte Carlo simulations, Probability of Default, Credit Rating impacts, Exposure Netting, and Risk Weight Assets).
• Simulate risk models applying data from Bloomberg using Python.
• Perform data analysis using Pandas and Keras.
• Work on Report Scenario Analysis and review Comprehensive Credit Analysis Review numbers for financial regulators.
• Apply knowledge of financial software architecture and credit risk calculation of financial products and work with Linux, GIT, Sybase, and Azure DevOps.

Your expertise
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Engineering (any), Math, or a related field of study, plus two (2) years of experience with financial software architecture; credit risk calculation of financial products; Java; C++; Linux; Springboot; GIT; Sybase; and/or, Azure DevOps.
• Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience.
