Your role

We are looking for a Structuring Officer to:

• work on the development of new private markets and private real estate products by taking them through structuring, creation of operating model, launch and initial funding
• work closely with external partners as well as sales, due diligence, legal, compliance and marketing to bring all parties together to create an optimal and efficient product.
• structure and analyze new products (no investment analysis)
• negotiate agreements, structures, and fees as well as review and create marketing materials
• work with legal counsel on offering materials, understand and review due diligence considerations to couple such considerations with the product structuring and to educate sales and operations and finance on structural issues, work on marketing materials, obtain internal approvals
• review and disseminate revised documentation and receive relevant approvals from various UBS parties. Communicate changes or events with product sponsors.
• oversee ongoing management of products, including assisting with restructurings and reorganizations, extraordinary events, and other changes to funds on the platform.
• initiate new projects that will enhance the client and/or financial advisor experience
• innovate and drive change to the way we service our clients and advisors.

Detailed salary information:
• New York: the salary range for this role is $140,000 to $180,000.
The expected salary range(s) for this role as of the date of this posting is/are based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. Unified Global Alternatives (UGA) brings together our leading alternatives manager selection franchises from Asset Management and Global Wealth Management, to create a top 5 global alternatives LP with a combined USD 286bn in invested assets. In the US, UGA provides alternative investment solutions for high net worth clients of UBS Wealth Management US. The platform consists of third party products and proprietary funds including hedge funds, private equity, real estate and managed futures products. Products can range from privately placed offerings to registered public offerings.

The US Structuring team is responsible for product development and structuring of products on the Alternative Investment Platform offered to clients of UBS Wealth Management Americas. The team is responsible for structuring and launching innovative alternative investment products, working on projects that create a positive impact to the firm’s financial advisors and clients including education, marketing, structuring, risk and compliance and any other projects that relate to the alternative investment platform, as well as ongoing management of such products.

Your expertise

• Ideally 8+ years of experience in alternative investments, high net worth clients and/or wealth management, preferably on another broker dealer/bank platform
• excellent verbal and written skills; an ability to present complex ideas and key messages effectively and in simple terms to others; high attention to detail and solid analytical skills
• team player who shows commitment and dedication, and can maintain both a positive attitude and high level of performance on high demand & time-sensitive initiatives
• excellent project management skills and ability to work with many different groups at UBS to get a product approved, obtain advice or buy-in on solutions
• ability to understand processes and be able to map out requirements and end-to-end assessments with the end goal of identifying gaps
• multi-task and juggle multiple projects at once, but stay on top of all initiatives so as to deliver on time and in set scope
• ability to understand complicated concepts and determine key risk items and disclose in clear and concise ways to our Financial Advisors and clients.
