The UBS acquisition of Credit Suisse, the rise in global yields and the expansion in private credit have created a greater opportunity set for fixed income investors. The credit strategy team is looking for an outstanding individual who can help us match the growth in our business and the broader credit landscape and take our team to the next level.
Do you have a deep passion for analyzing financial markets, big investment themes and trade ideas? Do you love to listen, give advice as well as educate?
We’re looking for someone like that who can:
- Conduct analysis of current market trends and forecast key global credit variables.
- Generate and promote corporate credit trading strategies based on relative value ideas and analysis.
- Write in a clear, concise and convincing manner to communicate strategy views and recommendations.
- Navigate several databases, price sources and analytical platforms to perform cross-market and capital-structure relative value.
- Interact with traders, salespeople, strategists and analysts to efficiently collect relevant data to make timely decisions.
- Provide customized portfolio analysis for institutional clients and recommend specific trade ideas based on the clients' objectives and constraints.
- Assist salespeople by providing fundamental / relative value analysis.
- Build a client network with internal and external clients to gain greater insight into market trends and client needs.

Your team
You will be an Analyst/ Associate Director working in the Investment Bank’s Global Credit Strategy team in London, housed within the Global Economics and Strategy group. Our team is responsible for the outlook and trading strategies for global credit markets, including investment grade, cross-over, high yield, leveraged loan and private debt sectors. Our objective is to create best-in-class thematic and trade ideas and be a close partner with key internal and external clients in helping them to navigate a dynamic macroeconomic and corporate credit landscape.
Your expertise
You have:
– strong academic credentials with focus in economics/ finance or a related field; postgraduate qualifications preferred
– several years of experience in a research or macro environment (credit, equity, rates), ideally in a client-facing role
– strong economic intuition, solid writing skills and good quantitative/ coding skills
– excellent knowledge of Excel, Bloomberg, and Haver
– a good grasp of accounting, including reviewing and interpreting annual reports and financial statements
– Experience in data science, machine learning or related AI fields is a plus
You are:
– a confident communicator, able to educate through the creation of innovative reports and presentations
– inquisitive, organized, and a self-starter (able to work with limited oversight)
– a team player, interested in being a part of something bigger than any one individual
