The ESOP Analyst is a key member of The Capital ESOP Group. The success of the team’s ESOP business hinges on this individual’s ability to generate high-quality materials and analyses in an organized and timely manner.
The ESOP Analyst will work diligently to ensure that all ESOP-related processes and projects are completed to best suit the needs of our clients and prospects. They will also work alongside and communicate frequently with both internal and external partners, including investment banks, CPAs, and other financial advisors. We are looking for a detail-oriented, highly efficient individual with strong verbal and written communication skills to fill this role. The ideal candidate would enjoy working closely with numbers and financial models on a daily basis. An individual in this role will benefit from being a quick learner and having a passion for supporting their team and helping business owners achieve their goals while exiting their business.
We’re looking for an ESOP Analyst to:
• Run and analyze various financial models in Microsoft Excel comparing cash flows of different sale options, evaluating margin costs, and assessing other scenarios based on individual client needs
• Explain the intricacies and outcomes of different Excel financial models to teammates in preparation for client/prospect meetings
• Analyze and interpret client account data and holdings
• Gather information relating to time-sensitive inquires regarding clients’ loans, margin costs, portfolio holdings, philanthropic wishes, and more
• Assist financial advisors in preparing data and materials for meetings with current and prospective clients
• Ensure that all tasks are compliant using UBS processes, where necessary
• Record client contact and activity information in CRM
• Share ideas and updates in daily team meetings

Your team
You’ll be working within a Washington, D.C. WMA branch office where we provide advice-based solutions. Our financial advisors deliver a fully integrated set of products and services specifically designed to address the needs of
ultra-high net worth and high-net worth individuals and families.
Your expertise
• A Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field
• 1-2+ years of experience in data modeling and/or analysis, ideally within the financial sector
• Strong Microsoft Office skills required (intermediate to advanced Excel user preferred)
• Cooperative and flexible team player
• Extremely detail-oriented and organized
• Ability to interact professionally with high net worth clients
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong time management skills
• Flexibility in day-to-day workflow
Qualified candidates will start the process by answering a few written questions from the team via email. If there are grounds to move forward, future interviews will include video conference calls and at least one in-person interview in our Washington, DC office. Candidates may be asked to take a DISC assessment. This position will require a background check and writing sample. This role requires attendance in-office 5 days a week.
